The Full Story

Hi! My name is Lisa Ocampo and I created Sharcuterie Cart as a fun project to do on the side after my day job as a data analyst. Although I enjoy my profession, I also love creating opportunities for me to learn and grow in other areas. Plus, everyone needs a side hustle, right?

Ever since childhood I've always been interested in becoming an entrepreneur to some scale. I've done artwork for weddings such as painting the couple's monogram on aisle runners and canvases. After doing that for a few years, I transitioned to crafting vinyl designs on t-shirts and water bottles. Now I am venturing into the catering business!

My family has a long history in the restaurant business. During my late teenage and early college years, I worked at a local Chinese restaurant in Orlando, where I packed takeout orders and managed the deep fryer, as well as assisted with catering events. Many of my extended family members have been involved in restaurants, and we all understand the dedication and effort required to run one successfully.

My dad had always been a cook whether it be for the staff on a cargo ship traveling around the world or opening his own food court restaurant in Boston. He then went on to become a chef at a Chinese restaurant in Orlando, FL where he worked until his retirement. He cooked every day until he passed away in 2024. I've cherished every meal he’s prepared for us over the years, and while I may not have mastered all of his incredible cooking skills, I truly miss him.

My goal is to bring gourmet charcuterie ingredients to our customers in the mobile food cart, making it convenient and classy at the same time. I believe charcuterie can be creative and customizable while reducing food waste. I am also conscientious of food allergies and sensitivities such as nuts, dairy, and gluten. This is why the food cart is the perfect way to ensure the ingredients stay fresh and contained so that customers can enjoy them worry-free. I'm looking forward to serving the community some yummy bites and excited to be there as an added experience to your special celebration!
